Rick was Born in Windsor, Ontario. Rasied mostly in Grand Rapids. Graduate of Forest Hills Central High School, class of 1978. Graduate of Aquinas College, 1983. After college, Rick joined American Express Financial Advisors. Since then, Rick has been in the contract office furnishings business, spending the past 6 + years with Herman Miller.

They look to Herman Miller because these organizations are looking for better ideas on how to create spaces that people want to actually be in. Spaces that inspire. They want to create a space that defines their brand. They want to create a space that creates a subliminal "buzz" among its primary occupants and its customers. They want to offer a safe place to do business in and a feeling of overall comfort or "decompression" or warmth. A space that lowers, not raises the blood pressure. In his personal time, Rick has been married to Melissa for 16 years and they have 12 year old daughter, Maris. His hobbies include: Music/concerts, Working out, reading, attending seminars and lectures, biking, movies, dining out with friends attending church, following politics and of course, trying to better understand and be a better social networker.

Rick is a member of Rotary Club, First Congregational Church of Ann Arbor, Cornerstone Schools Partner, STRIVE Scholarship Program at Stone School, Ann Arbor, Various fundsraisers such as a Hurricane Rita Hurricane relief effort to re-build homes in Cameron Parish, LA among others.
